INbalance – Annual Conference of UNESCO Schools

As part of the annual conference of Austrian UNESCO schools 2025, students from the Ortweinschule Graz, under the direction of Agnes Christine Katschner, presented the exhibition „INbalance“ in the university gallery of the University College of Teacher Education Styria.

The works shown were created during the 2024/25 school year in the subject of Representation and Composition (DAKO). The focus was on the relationship between humans and nature, as well as the question of how ecological, social, and personal developments can become unbalanced.

The students explored different topics: the third and fifth grades focused on the International Year for Glacier Conservation 2025, while the fourth grade examined the importance of trees, particularly linden trees. The results were then expressed through prints, paintings, and installations.

The exhibition was part of the artistic program accompanying the Austria-wide UNESCO school conference, which took place from October 15 to 17, 2025 under the motto „Linguistic Diversity | Linguistic Ecosphere“.
